My Big Fat Crusher Cat (the cat that stays at my parent's house, because he is a pissy pants) had to have a tooth extracted today. It was his big canine one which is like 4 inches long because he is an amazon jungle cat or something. I asked the vet if I could keep it and make it into a necklace charm, she just laughed uncomfortably and didn't answer. Too bad I was serious. Anyway, he was all kinds of drugged out when I brought him home and he walked around like a whiskey swiggin SOB, it was pretty hilarious to tell you the truth. Then I fed him and put him to bed, tucked him in and everything. Poor Fatty BoBatty.
The vet also told me he is OVERWEIGHT, that's how she said it. He had NO DEFINABLE WAIST AND FAT DEPOSITS AROUND HIS NECK. I don't know why she was talking so loud. I think she thought I was slow. I told her I knew he was OVERWEIGHT and I got him that way and have since made him lose 2 lbs, which is a fucking lot for a cat. He now is down to 16.2 lbs. So suck it, Miss Loud Speaking Vet. I only went there because my cousin is an assistant there and it's only 5 min from my parents house, but I that woman was a snatchface.

OMG Crusher has diabetes?!?
YOU HAVE TO GO TO THIS WEBSITE
www.catinfo.org.
Dr Pierson specialises in cats with diabetes, and despite what your vet says, there is an EASY way to fix it!! WET FOOD.
I'm swamped at work and can't explain, but go to the site, and buy this book and READ IT cover to cover!!! This author is amazing.
My cat was diagnosed with CRF- chronic renal failure. Surgery was going to be over 2k. But I switched her diet, and she is healed in less than a month. Also, her teeth no longer have massive gingevitis and gum disease, saving me $1000 in dental bills.
And she's WAY WAY WAY happier.

Seriously, it's SO WORTH IT!
Read the animal links on my blog. My 4 cats had so many health problems it was ridiculous. One was obese, one puked and had diahrea every day. One had CRF and dental disease and gingevitis and one wouldn't eat.
I switched them to raw food and wet canned food, and in a month they are ALL all better. Thin, trim, health issues gone, and no puke!
Check it out

Ali- About 4 months ago, the vet told me Crush had high blood sugar (in the 300s which isnt as high as some diabetic cats) and told me he was likely diabetic. I FREAKED b/c I didn't have the time, patience, or money to treat him. I ended up doing tons of research and talked to many, many crazy cat ladies on a diabetic cat forum. They were tons of help and basically told me I should switch to wet food first and limit his intake to start off, which makes perfect sense after I researched it. He has since lost weight and his glucose level went down. It was all about him being overweight and eating all the carbs in dry food. Thanks for the links, I will check them out (timber has been puking a lot, but will only eat dry food. stubborn) anyway, just wanted to fill you in on everything and say THANKS.
There are waaaay fatter cats, your guy doesn't look fat to me, she was being a snot.
your cat has enormous cute paws. hope he feels better soon.
