Yesterday at Meijer I was by the pet section getting cat food, and I noticed there were 2 beta fish on the floor, and they were dead and smushed maybe from shopping cart wheels? And I found this to be distressing/sad because of various reasons, mostly because I have frequent dreams about trying to save dying fish. Not like, trout or salmon, but aquarium type fish, so it was kinda upsetting.
Then I went and grabbed the cat food, and when I went back by the fish, I saw a third beta fish on the floor and started to wonder about a mass planned suicide because they hated their tiny little bowls of oppression. I picked him up and he tried to jump from my between my thumb and forefinger, but I held firmly and deposited him back into an empty bowl.

i have a beta. he's always trying to jump bowl. it really freaks me out.
like his life is so hard. what an emo pansy.
