On days like today I reflect on life...
Where my place is on this planet.
Just so happens it's 5 minutes from Lake Michigan.
Living HERE is amazing. And I realize that I'm lucky.
It is quite beautiful, is it not?
But then.
A new season rolls around. Say around November 17th. And this happens:
I know, I know. It snows. Whoopity do. But living this close to a massive body of water has its downfalls. The weather people call it Lake Effect Snow. We got some (a lot) today. I drew you a picture. It's very scientific:
(click please!)
It's a give and take situation.
Only 8 months until June.

Pfft...
My Daughter decided to go to SUNY Oswego, the campus located right on Lake Ontario. It's beautiful there, and when they give the tours, they point out the beaches just minutes from here.
They don't mention what happens on and after Nov. 1st.
But you know, 550 inches of snow isn't all that much. Some weeks they see as much as 10 feet of snow.
May your snow tires grip, your snow brush stand ready and may your jacket be warm.
AAHAHAHAHAAA i really like your diagram
